Fernando Torres has failed to score a single goal since his big-money move from Liverpool last January. While Ancelotti is known to rotate his squad well, he has been forced to play Torres since he arrived- in order to provide him with more chances to get his first Chelsea goal.

However, Ancelotti seems to have run out of patience with the Spaniard and he even hinted that Torres will most probably be rested ahead of the match against København.

Ancelotti said: “Maybe Fernando will have a rest. I want to rotate my team and with everyone fit I will use all the players to prepare for this game and for Manchester City. Torres has played well for the team. The only problem is that he is a new player for us and he has to know our kind of play better.”
