Meanwhile Sunderland were lucky to win 1-0 against Aston Villa last week. Richard Dunne's own goal gave all three points to the Black Cats. This was also Sunderland's first premier league victory over Villa in six attempts. Manager Steve Bruce will be delighted with his side's showing and will be confident of grabbing all three points at St James' Park this week. New signing Asamoah Gyan is expected to play some part in this game.
